Vote for Patti Kincer
Pinellas Park City Council Seat 2
August 18, 2020
My name is Patricia “Patti” Kincer and I’m running for Pinellas Park City Council Seat #2. I’m running because I believe we need leadership with more diverse experience in the community. As a small-business owner I recognize the importance of having that business perspective on city council, but I’m also a retired police officer in our city and have spent a lot of my life advocating for the most vulnerable members of our community.
I’ve seen first hand the hardships our residents face which allows me the unique opportunity to experience both sides of the policy making process. As a street cop I saw how decisions by city council affected crime and traffic. As a city employee I saw how their choices, although often well-intended, affected the “boots on the ground.”
As a community activist I saw how the many wonderful organizations in our community worked to fill the voids in our community. Working side by side with these organizations will help me in decision making in the future.
I want to keep supporting our residents and small businesses that may be struggling in the wake of COVID-19. I want to make sure we’re managing growth in the most responsible way possible when it comes to infrastructure and most importantly, traffic. I want to preserve our green spaces in the city. I want to make sure Pinellas Park remains a safe place to live and raise a family.
There is a lot of work to be done and we will only be successful by bringing residents, business owners, non-profits, and city government together and I believe my background makes me uniquely qualified to do just that.
